Well, for many Europeans, Morocco is the nearest exotic African destination- taking only two and half hours to fly from London and an hour from Madrid. Once de rigueur destination for those on the hippy trail, Morocco has become a place for the traveller and holidaymaker who demand something more than the average from their hard earned vacation.

With the brisk business that is being conducted in the Moroccan real estate market, many foreign nationals have invested in the country's real estate. Foreign nationals have been found to be investing in commercial real estate as well as in vacation properties. Further, some foreign nationals -- particular those from France -- have invested in second homes in Morocco. (France has a long association with Morocco, the Kingdom of Morocco having once been a French colony.

If you want to spend a vacation with your family in Morocco then the city of Marrakech is the best place. This city has too much to offer for every one, children, teenagers and adults. You will find many snake charmers in the streets, magicians showing their tricks, a lot of colorful markets and many more. The most interesting and enjoyment days are the days of Muslim festivals; during the festivals you will see the most out of Morocco.

With miles and miles of pristine beaches dotting the country's landscape, Morocco has emerged as a dream destination for holiday visitors looking to just take a break from their routine lifestyle. This makes investment in holiday property, like holiday resorts and rental apartments, in the towns and villages along the coastline, a wise decision. The scope for regular rental income is extremely high in the Moroccan holiday property.

Surfing has been practiced in Morocco for almost as long as it has been practiced in other parts of the globe. Surfing in Morocco was initiated by a group of Australian and American surfers in the 1970s, who were also fascinated by the exoticism and the magic of the country. But lately the sport of surfing has slowly gained momentum in Morocco and many organizations have originated to educate the locals as to its tourism and visitor potential. Several surfing schools and clubs have rapidly sprung up and international competitions have been organized to promote surfing in Morocco, a country that has some of the most wonderful surfing spots available all in one region.

Tourism plays an important role for Morocco's economy. The mixture of the cultures that have come here through history has made Morocco an exciting place to visit. Beaches, museums, archaeological sites, historical places and monuments and art galleries are among attractions to visit. Being dominated by the mountains in the north, and by the desert in the South, Morocco makes sunning on the sandy beaches and trekking the high mountains available both.

If your main interest is to fish inland, the Middle Atlas is probably your best choice, since it provides many opportunities in its lakes and rivers. Although many species can be fished in Morocco's fresh waters, trout is probably the most common inland catch. It can be fished in the wadis and in the stunning gorges, and some of the best spots for fishing trout are the bases of Azrou (near the Aghmas lakes), Khenifra on the Oum er Rbia River, Ifrane and its wonderful National Park, and Ouirgane on the Nfis River. Also, Bin el Ouidane, near Beni Mellal, is a great spot for fishing its huge bass.
